i propose an experiment.

this is the thread to post something good, something remarkable, something special to you. no flaming, no snideness, no rudeness. just something you think, you've seen, you feel or you know, that might make someone's day a little brighter.

please stay within the spirit of the thread. let's hope no one breaks the chain of goodwill.

if you don't have something to say, maybe you just did. think about it.

i'll start. i posted this one a thread that went the way of the buffaloes a day or two ago...

i learned that the call of a whipporwill in the summer night can be a healing thing. that lightning bugs scattered around like stars are a miraculous thing. and that the caress of an unexpected breeze can remind you to be thankful for life's small gifts.

come on, friends! who's next?

I have learned some of the things I thought were horrible at the time have turned out to have a silver lining.
Keeping a positive attitude really can overcome hardship.

I was sitting with my family at the supper table last night. And I noticed how beautiful my two children where. And how big they where growing. Its easy to take things for granted.

My girls make me realize how lucky I am. Sunday night we were eating hamburgers and hotdogs. The conversation was priceless. We are all such great friends. We talked of tv, books, their school....they laughed about my Goo, Goo Cluster and Dew habit I had after my divorce. They exagerated, of course. They said I would eat them in bed (that is right), but said I would wake up in the morning with the wrappers stuck on my head or arms and legs. Not true....
That afternoon, I was taking a computer to be fixed, it was in my car. One of them told me I should get a laptop, that I should stop hauling around a PC.
