Turn back the hands of time and have a look at the Renaissance Faire...Wilson Park, Florence, Saturday and Sunday.

Question:
What are your plans?

Have you ever attended?

Choices:
I will attend this weekend.
I think this is a foolish waste of time.
What is the Renaissance Faire?

While you are there, walk on down to Trinity church on Pine street. We are having an all day craft fair, bake sale, food sale, white elephant sale. On track to raise $1,000,000 for community outreach. Great place to Christmas shop. Also a kid's fair to entertain the little ones.

There's no "I want to attend, but can't" voting option.
When i do get to go, i love it.

your poll is skewed because of the response choices. You need better criteria in your answer choices. I guess this is a quick poll with no data analysis so it doesnt matter anyway.
My answer is I will go if I am able to finish chores/football games saturday.

I will attend if I can this weekend. I think it is a wonderful festival they have every year. Some years have been better than others but it is always a good time to be had...

Sorry some thought the options were too limited.

This event will be Saturday and Sunday, October 24 and 25, I think Saturday from 9:00a.m. until 5:30 p.m. (about sunset). Sunday is shorter, I believe 11:00 a.m. until sunset. There is NO admission charge or solicitation for donation, BUT there just might be things you are tempted to spend your money on..expect to see Knights, varlets, swords and battle axes (weapon), Friars, Monks, jugglers and jesters. Historically appropriate music by wandering minstrels.

Honestly, last year was my first time to attend and it is very entertaining. Last year Birmingham had observers attending because they are considering starting their own. The Florence Renaissance Faire is recognized as the State of Alabama's official event of this type.

Location: Wilson park, North of the Florence Post Office.

The answer I want to answer is not there. lol

I would go, but it would be too hard to go without Hubby. He and I were married at the Ren. Festival in 2003. Big Grin WOW! Hard to believe it's almost been 6 years since then! hehe

We try to make it over there every year, for our anniversary, but this year he's at AIT 500+ miles away. *sigh*

Big Grin I really do enjoy the festivities there! Big Grin

All those that go, have a great time! Big Grin

WOW...! ALUMNI... Wink

You should come and bring your digital camera so you can share with your husband when he returns.
Did I mention the crazy guy that goes up a free standing ladder(not a step ladder), about 20 + feet in the air and juggles at the top while balancing the ladder...not for people who can't walk and chew gum at the same time.

I don't remember any belly dancers, I must have been enjoying one of those turkey drum sticks a vendor was selling.
