I used to like 5 Dollar but then the managers service is horrible! We came in there twice and the chicken tenders had ice on them and they were supposed to be fried! We went to the managers and she said "so". No concern whatsoever! Their water tastes like plastic has been melted in it and when we told her about that she said "well...", and we asked to have something else and she then told the waitress wait until we got up and paid for the drink, would not even let her tell us she could not get it for us and then when we got up she said "What do you want!" What poor service! We would have gotten up if we had known the waitress was not allowed to bring us a drink. I have never been treated so rudely. Then we asked to have her managers number or area supervisor and she said she was it and she would not give out Mr. Barnhills number. We later talked to a waitress and they said it wasn't them and they don't even talk to the local managers if they have a problem because they are so rude they catch Mr. Barnhill when he comes in. They also said the managers have taken away his phone number because they don't want them to call him. How awful is it in this economy to be treated this way! Its definately not the waitresses fault and if you don't have a problem with cold fried chicken tenders and plastic tasting water its a nice place to eat...at least the waitresses are nice. If anyone knows how to get in touch with Mr.Barnhill please let us know. We tried the internet but could not find anything.

We've eaten there a few times....waitresses were not the friendliest when we were there. It was like it was a burden to get us something to drink or even forks....We had our plates for about 10 min and I had already ask a couple of times for some forks. Well finally after I saw some others walking up and getting what I thought was just napkins...I went up myself. But everyone was going through the forks and spoons and picking them out and putting them in a napkin. It's not only serve yourself on the food....but anything else you need as well!

this site will allow you to leave a comment...google 'barnhills' and you can also locate other locations and could probably find his number at one of the other locations.

What do you expect for the price? I'd consider myself lucky, for that price, if the food is booger-free.

In my personal opinion, the obesity joke Alabama has would be greatly reduced if you people would just stay away from these food troughs. they wrangle you through there like a cattle catch pen with everyone else.
Do you think this kind of over indulging is safe? After you pay for it using filthy money, how many people do you think washes their hands before they eat? How many do you think wash their hands before they enter the building? How many of these people do you see handling the food? How many kids do you see playing with the same food the establishment expects you to eat?
After you answer the above questions, ask yourself, what quality do you expect from a place like this?

You get what you pay for.

I was in town last month and saw it there on the corner. Just seeing the sign made me want to gag.

For a family of four, that would be $20, add tax and tip you're looking at about $25 - $27.

Take that same $27 to the grocery store, plan a meal, and cook it at home with the family. It will taste better, be healthier, and the service won't suck.

Nashbama, you may have noticed that "eat at home" is my motto. This is unless I cannot or it is a lot of trouble to duplicate. (This will take are of those who are ready to post about my El Parian post) LOL!

Grammarians, I have beat you to it. There is an antecedent for neither "it" nor "this". Please substitute "the food" for "it" and and "think "this sentence" as you read. Earthpoppa would say that you knew what I meant! Go cook something! LOL

I really liked their fried green tomatoes and the rest of the food was passable. Sounds like I'll not be going back.
