What about butter for $1.99, I've read that their cheese / sliced cheddar, swiss, etc is made @ Sargento and marketed for Aldi.
Their $2.99 coffee taste as good as Starbucks.

Yeah, their cheese is great tasting! Also, you can't go wrong with their "Fit & Active" line of products. Our children go crazy for the cereal and the fruit snacks in that line.

I love their peanuts too. Great place to shop!

hmm...if this is true i may have to try it. However, when you say tastes as good, do you mean you enjoy it as much as Starbucks? or it actually has that Starbucks aroma? i'm quite the coffee drinker and the only coffee i have found similar in aroma is the new Wolfgang Puck coffee, and it's still 6 dollars a bag where as Starbucks is nearly 8. so if i could get that aroma for 3 dollars that would be a steal.

Our Philosophy: “Incredible Value Every Day.”
To millions of consumers around the world, ALDI is simply the smartest way to buy groceries.

ALDI entered the U.S. market in 1976, with a handful of stores in southeastern Iowa. Now, over 1,000 U.S. ALDI stores are spreading the savings from Kansas to the East Coast. In its 2008 report, Supermarket News ranked ALDI 25th in U.S. grocery chains in terms of gross sales—a considerable accomplishment given our select assortment and low prices.

At ALDI, our philosophy is also the foundation for our less-is-more approach to grocery retailing. Everything we do, from selecting suppliers to scouting locations to building and operating stores, facilitates savings substantial enough to impact your every-day living.

We concentrate purchasing power, carrying only 1,400 or so of your most frequently purchased grocery and household items, of which nearly all are ALDI select brands. As a result, we get the lowest prices from our suppliers—and pass the savings on to you.

We streamline operations, eliminating every feature that increases cost—and prices. (See the Shopping Smarter section for details.) When you shop at ALDI, you pay for food—not frills.

We adhere to stringent quality standards. Every product we sell must match or exceed the leading national brand in taste, appearance, and/or performance. Our premium produce is shipped faster and smarter, so it comes to your table fresher and cheaper. We’re so sure of the quality of what we sell that we back it with our exclusive Double Guarantee. So you can always shop ALDI with confidence.

These practices unique to ALDI add up to big savings for our customers. In fact, our everyday low prices are usually lower than supermarket “sale” prices. And that’s “Incredible Value Every Day.”

The frozen Belgian cream puffs and the German coffee cake are great. The cake is cream, layer of coffee, layer of chocolate, etc. The ravioli is very good, also, as is the "Entenmann's" not really Entenmann's of course, coffee cake. The pasta sauce is good, and the Pilsner is fantastic beer, less than a dollar a bottle and from Saxony and follows the German Beer Purity Law. I would say it is as good as Spaten.

They have bags. You just have to pay extra for them. They also encourage you to use empty boxes you may find in the store.
Paper bags .06 cents
Plastic bags .10 cents
Canvas Tote 1.99 (these are quite large)
Or you can bring any old bags you may have at home.

We usually don't bother with sacks. Just take basket out to car, and empty into laundry basket or whatever. Sometimes we have plastic bags in trunk of car to put canned items in.

Oh did I mention their popsicles & ice cream

Grandessa Signature brand salsa. I think three different flavors, the Santa Fe Southwestern being my favorite. No preservatives added. Find it in the back of the store in the open cooler section.
