Hi to my Forum Friends,
You may have noticed within the last month that a new (?) member, ZumaGirl, has been posting what she claims is "The Continuing Story of Life and Teachings of Jesus." This is a cult teaching; possibly an offshoot of the Jehovah's Witnesses. At least, they teach the same Jesus as the Jehovah's Witnesses. This person, ZumaGirl, is the posting alter ego of our Friend, Al Williams. Al began copy/pasting his Urantia Book New Age bible on the Religion Forum several months ago. But, when folks like Mr. Hoob and I began to stand in the doorway -- Al must have gotten discouraged. So, to make it appear that he had found disciples of his New Age religion; he apparently created this alter ego in feminine form to post his Urantia Book for him. The Urantia Book organization is a New Age cult which, like the Jehovah's Witnesses, teach that Jesus Christ is a created being -- and that He really is Michael the Archangel. You will notice, in this copy/paste posting, several mentions of Michael. This is THEIR JESUS; certainly not Jesus Christ, Son of God, of the Bible -- and certainly not the Messiah. Also, on their web sites, their clergy encourage their followers to attempt, by stealth or otherwise, to sneak their Urantia Book teachings into local Christian churches. This is what Al, their faithful follower, is attempting to do on the Religion Forum. And, as I said, he has created at least one alter ego, ZumaGirl, in this attempt. This is New Age religion. This is a cult religion. And, it may be an offshoot or a first cousin to the Jehovah's Witnesses. Beware! All Christian believers must stand in the doorway -- and keep this kind of teaching out of our churches, out of our fellowship, and away from new believers and new seekers who could be led astray by this false teaching. God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day, Bill ![]() |

At least they are allowed to smoke and drink tea and coffee and don't have special underoos, as the Mormen and Shemorms do! Plus, I bet they know what the difference between apostolic and the direct lineage of bishops of the One Holy
Catholic and Apostolic Church, Peter having nothing to do with closing out anyone's right to episcopal consecration. They probably do not rapture or tribulate, either! Do they have an official hate list? |

Hi Neal, Please feel free to worship the New Age Jesus is you like. After all, God did give you free will to follow Him or to follow any other gods you like. And, maybe there is something they can teach you about healing your hatred. However, my other Forum Friends, I strongly advise against any involvement with any form of the New Age religion. God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day, Bill ![]() |

Ah, yes. The dangerous Urantia cult! Beware!
Hear now our evil plan to take over the world: We believe in only one God, the heavenly Father, the Universal Spirit which is the Source of all things. We believe in the Sovereign of Jesus in our lives by His spirit, the Spirit of Truth, our Savior, Brother and Master. We believe that Jesus lived a perfect life, showing us the way to the Father and becoming the living way where everyone can be guided by the Spirit of Truth into all truth to manifest the will of God in this world. We believe that truth can be found in many different religions, but that Jesus was the personification of this truth, becoming the universal revelation of the Father to mankind and of a perfected man to the Father. We believe that the keys for a better humanity relies in the message of the kindgom of heaven, which is the Fatherhood of God and the Brotherhood of Man. We believe that the ideal religious experience is the one in which you have a personal relation with God, where you are guided directly by His spirit into all truth, beauty and goodness. We believe that the supreme moral law in all the universe is the golden rule. We believe that we are not alone in the universe and that we are a part of a huge universal family of sons of God, across many different galaxies Run quickly away from these fanatics who will poison your minds away from the true faith! Save yourselves while you still can!!!! ![]() |

Hi Al,
You tell us, "Ah, yes. The dangerous Urantia cult! Beware! Hear now our evil plan to take over the world: We believe in only one God, the heavenly Father, the Universal Spirit which is the Source of all things." No, He is not the "Universal Spirit" -- not your New Age god. He is God, preexisting, manifested in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. All are God, all are preexisting, all are deity. Next, you say, "We believe in the Sovereign of Jesus in our lives by His spirit, the Spirit of Truth, our Savior, Brother and Master." You spell the name right, Jesus, but -- your Jesus, according to your Urantia Book -- is Michael the archangel, a created being. That is a teaching your New Age religion shares with another cult, the Jehovah's Witnesses. Your New Age Jesus is not Jesus Christ. Then, you say, "We believe that truth can be found in many different religions, but that Jesus was the personification of this truth, becoming the universal revelation of the Father to mankind and of a perfected man to the Father." This is where you go in opposite directions from the Bible. The Bible tells us there is one God, manifested in three Persons: Father, Son, Holy Spirit. And, Jesus Christ, the Son, tells us in John 14:6, "I am the WAY, and the TRUTH, and the LIFE; NO ONE comes to the Father, but through Me." No, Al, there are not many ways to God; there is ONLY ONE WAY to God -- and that is through Jesus Christ. Yes, many truths can be found in other beliefs and religions -- but, salvation can ONLY be found in Jesus Christ. And, you tell us, "We believe that the keys for a better humanity relies in the message of the kingdom of heaven, which is the Fatherhood of God and the Brotherhood of Man." Taken right out of the Freemasons' Manual. It seems that, in the mid-1950s, when your leaders decided to form your own New Age religion -- they took bits and pieces from other cults. A little from the Jehovah's Witnesses; something from the Freemasons; and I am sure that if I wanted to dig a wee bit deeper -- I would find many other cultic sources in your Urantia Book religion. You tell us, "We believe that the ideal religious experience is the one in which you have a personal relation with God, where you are guided directly by His spirit into all truth, beauty and goodness. We believe that the supreme moral law in all the universe is the golden rule." That all sounds good; but, like all cultic religions -- you parrot just enough of Christianity to allow you to fool people into believing you are Christian. Then, all the false teachings are brought out. Sorry, my Friend -- but, your Urantia Book religion is still very much New Age -- and is a false religion teaching false teachings. Nearing the end, you tell us, "We believe that we are not alone in the universe and that we are a part of a huge universal family of sons of God, across many different galaxies." Too bad your cult leaders did not inform God of this amazing knowledge. If so, He could have included it in our Bible so that we Christians could know that we have believing brothers and sisters on other planets. Gee, Al, why were your leaders so selfish; why didn't they share this information with God, instead of just with your gods? Finally, you tell us, "Run quickly away from these fanatics who will poison your minds away from the true faith! Save yourselves while you still can!" That, my Friend, is the absolute first truth I have seen you share in any discussion of your Urantia Book religion. I pray that folks will listen to this advise and warn all their family and friends. God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day, Bill ![]() |

Just remember that the Urantia Book says that all men and women are the fellow children of God, and that God is love.
From this it is easy to see that we should all love each other as brothers and sisters, fellow children of the God of Love. Very dangerous! ![]() |

Hi Al, The Urantia Book may say that -- but, the Bible most certainly does not. So, since the Bible is the Holy Spirit inspired, inerrant (God does not make mistakes), literal Word of God -- I will stick with what the Bible teaches. Romans 8:12-17, "So then, brethren, (meaning Christian believers) . . . The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him so that we may also be glorified with Him." In John 3:3, we read, "Jesus answered and said to him, 'Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.'" By born again, Jesus Christ means that one has, by the grace of God, through faith in Jesus Christ -- become a Christian believer. Faith in the Urantia Book Jesus will gain you nothing but self condemnation and self destruction. John 3:36 tells us, "He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him." I think it is pretty clear, in the Bible, that all people are NOT children of God; but, only those who, by grace, through faith -- believe and receive the gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ. Yes, Al, your New Age Urantia Book is a definite danger to people's eternal salvation. All anyone can get from the Urantia Book is self destruction. On the other hand, in the Bible folks can find eternal life in Jesus Christ. Yes, you and your Urantia Book are dangerous. God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day, Bill ![]() |

Good Morning everyone!
More DANGEROUS Urantia Philosophy! To the unbelieving materialist, man is simply an evolutionary accident. His hopes of survival are strung on a figment of mortal imagination; his fears, loves, longings, and beliefs are but the reaction of the incidental juxtaposition of certain lifeless atoms of matter. No display of energy nor expression of trust can carry him beyond the grave. The devotional labors and inspirational genius of the best of men are doomed to be extinguished by death, the long and lonely night of eternal oblivion and soul extinction. Nameless despair is man's only reward for living and toiling under the temporal sun of mortal existence. Each day of life slowly and surely tightens the grasp of a pitiless doom which a hostile and relentless universe of matter has decreed shall be the crowning insult to everything in human desire which is beautiful, noble, lofty, and good. But such is not man's end and eternal destiny; such a vision is but the cry of despair uttered by some wandering soul who has become lost in spiritual darkness, and who bravely struggles on in the face of the mechanistic sophistries of a material philosophy, blinded by the confusion and distortion of a complex learning. And all this doom of darkness and all this destiny of despair are forever dispelled by one brave stretch of faith on the part of the most humble and unlearned of God's children on earth. This saving faith has its birth in the human heart when the moral consciousness of man realizes that human values may be translated in mortal experience from the material to the spiritual, from the human to the divine, from time to eternity. ![]() |

Thank you for this wonderful opportunity to put forth "dangerous" material like this:
Religion is designed to find those values in the universe which call forth faith, trust, and assurance; religion culminates in worship. Religion discovers for the soul those supreme values which are in contrast with the relative values discovered by the mind. Such superhuman insight can be had only through genuine religious experience. Do not try to satisfy the curiosity or gratify all the latent adventure surging within the soul in one short life in the flesh. Be patient! be not tempted to indulge in a lawless plunge into cheap and sordid adventure. Harness your energies and bridle your passions; be calm while you await the majestic unfolding of an endless career of progressive adventure and thrilling discovery. As you view the world, remember that the black patches of evil which you see are shown against a white background of ultimate good. You do not view merely white patches of good which show up miserably against a black background of evil. When there is so much good truth to publish and proclaim, why should men dwell so much upon the evil in the world just because it appears to be a fact? The beauties of the spiritual values of truth are more pleasurable and uplifting than is the phenomenon of evil. Al |
