My advice, as a native who was stupid enough to return and fortunate enough to get out, is have good insurance, the place is known for the careless drivers, try to leave as quickly as possible and be sure to see the prettiest sight you will ever view: THE SHOALS IN YOUR REAR VIEW MIRROR!!!!!!!!!!!

You've got it wrong, Homewood boy. The greatest sight around the Shoals, is seeing the vehicles of people like you headed outbound! Go ahead and get out of the Shoals and go down around Birmingham, with all the crooks, murderers, theives and crazy drivers. Then, when Birmingham or Homewood becomes too tame for you, head on over to Atlanta! Try driving the streets there! I know we have some lousy drivers around here, but most of them come from south of the border! And if you think the driving around here is bad, then you must not get out in it around Birmingham!

Alabama has no traffc. Imagine driving 1 hour and only going 2 miles. I will be glad when I get back to the south. 5 days and a wake-up

If it's worse than Florence Blvd, then I pity you! All the slooow drivers are in the left land and all on cellphones! makes me crazy!

as far as the drivers go, their are good and bad every you go. what upsets me is, traffic flow, and the lack their of.their might be 5-10 streets, in all the shoals, that have the traffic lights synchronized. in my little mind it looks like you could take some lights out, to free up flow. maybe even use on and of ramps instead. just my opinion.
