I was just wondering if anyone was childless not by choice or by choice?

I am childless not by choice. I tried to concieve for 12 years with fertility drugs and ruined my body. I had a hysteroctomy 4 years ago.

I do not wish to adopt for various reasons.

I was wondering if there was anyone else in a similar situation out there?

We are in about the same situation as you. We tried for a couple of years and we she got pregnant the first of last November, we lost the child in December. This has been very hard on me. She has had the pain but I have had the emotional roller coaster. We now find out that there are some problems and our chances have been cut way down. I don't think we are going to try the fertility drugs and I don't want to adopt for certain reasons as well.

So you are not alone. But sometimes I feel like we are.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I've never been pg, so I don't know what that loss feels like. That was my greatest fear when I was still ttc. I think that's the main reason we did not do IVF. I knew what the miscarriage rate was and I didn't want to go through that.

I know we are not alone, I have friends who have had fertility issues, but they have been able to have a child. I feel left behind more so than alone.

Some days I'm okay, other days it really gets to me.

I think we need a support group of sorts for this in our area. I have contacted ECM about doing a infertility support group, but they are not interested, I didn't bother calling Keller after the response I got from ECM.
