that cloth diaper anywhere in the shoals. I've searched high and low for groups/people and haven't come up with anything. I plan on using cloth on the upcoming addition and would like other moms to talk to.

Cloth diapers make great burp cloths. Cloth diapers sound like a good idea, but disposables are much more absorbent and reduce the incidence of diaper rash significantly. Oh, and they don't leak. Oh, and they are a lot less trouble. Especially when you are out and about.

Of the three couples that we knew who tried cloth diapers (back when our kids were in diapers), none made it past the first 4 AM diaper change.

None of this will change your mind of course, so we all want to hear how it goes. Keep us informed.

it's been many years ago, but both my boys were allergic to the disposables. i used a diaper service from birmingham. i can still smell that wonderful clean scent when fresh ones were delivered.

I know that disposables are more convient, I have 3 children already. My youngest (20 months) has kept a rash since the day she was born. We are working on potty training her to get her out of the diapers. I may or may not make it cloth diapering but, it's worth a try and like you said the diapers will not go to waste because the make great burp cloths, are great for dusting, and have other great uses. The reaason I'm trying to find people is to find out what worked or did not work for them, why they quit or what made it so great theat they kept going. Thanks for the input though.
