We all know, of course, that Dr. Phil wouldn't do this. I suppose his staff did it "under cover" & he didn't know. Roll Eyes

Sure he did not know!! Big joke, He like oprah cannot keep his nose out of anything that will give him publicity. Half of his advice is so off the wall anyway. Why did he not offer help to the victim? Al and jessie can't be far behind.

Why can't I look at Dr. Phil and not remember Hank "Hey, now!" Kingsley from the Larry Sanders Show?

When his show first started, I was a big fan. But over time, he's become more about ratings instead of helping people. The only reason he visited Britany was because he thought it would make good tv, not because he really wanted to help her. I'm sure the only reason his staff bailed this girl out is becaused he talked to them about getting one of these girls on the show to boost his ratings. If he really wanted to help, why not go to Florida and meet with them in jail without the cameras???

Me too, OneWorld, back in the late 90's or early 00's. Of course, I can also remember when the Jerry Springer show was semi-serious. Can you?

I guess I'm behind times because I didn't know he was getting divorced!!
I'm sure he's all about ratings - it's a TV show and that's how he makes money. But, I do feel that part of him cares about people.
IMO, he must have been UNaware of what his staff did because they decided not to go further with the interviews. Although,,,,,I guess maybe he didn't think they would get "found out?" I just don't know. ????

Life's too short....just be nice.

Looks like they may be divorcing... wonder if they'll go on Divorce Court and let Judge Maybelline sort it out?

Also, Robin is his second wife, so he's been down this road before. From wiki:
McGraw's first marriage and subsequent divorce was not publicized until a 2002 Newsweek cover story. The "secret first wife of Dr. Phil" was ex-cheerleader and homecoming queen Debbie Higgins McCall, who married McGraw in 1970. According to her, Phil was domineering and would not allow her to participate in the family business, a health spa. Instead, she was confined to domestic duties, which included lifting weights to improve her bustline.

McGraw had multiple affairs with other women. McCall stated, "When I confronted him about his infidelities he didn't deny these girls and told me that it had nothing to do with his feelings toward me, to grow up, that's the way it was in the world." The relationship ended when she left him in 1973.

McGraw soon began dating a 20-year old college student, Robin Jo Jameson, whom he married almost three years later. The day of the wedding, she dropped out of school, quit her job and became a stay-at-home wife. Three years later, she became a stay-at-home mom when son Jay was born in 1979. Jay remained an only child until age 7, when Jordan was born in 1986.

It's the end of the world as we know it.
It's the end of the world as we know it.
It's the end of the world as we know it and I feel fine.

I can't believe he would bail that girl out. she was where she should be , in jail.Give me a break Dr. Phil! you knew what your staff was doing. All Dr. Phil wants is publicity, I believe he's the one that needs a psychiatrist.

"While Access Hollywood has investigated the potential divorce of Dr. Phil McGraw and his wife Robin, they were unable to come to any conclusions." [quote from above article]

hey ya'll, is this where the divorce information was gathered?
