Sadly, there was an article about companies exploiting breast cancer not too long ago. It seems as if pink means green for many.

LINK

"Proctor and Gamble products just have a pink ribbon on them stating that 'early detection saves lives'. But if you go online you'll see the company supports the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

If you keep digging for information, you'll find that only two-cents of the pink Proctor and Gamble products go to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Even then the money is only donated if the purchaser has a coupon that was distributed at the end of September."

Sadly, flotown79, there's usually a self serving reason for corporations to get involved in these things, and that is to profit. For example, many corporations have jumped on the "green" bandwagon now because it's hip and popular - and it sells products. Most of them don't actually care about the environment, just bringing in the cash.

Now this makes me real proud of these young people. I know the family very well and have known them for years. They are good hard-working people and very deserving of the tribute paid to them. We need to support the drive to find a cure. Have a great and blessed day.
