Coach Wallace did it the right way when he was here. He built a program with LOCAL players for the most part and won 3 National Titles in a row. He didn't have many one year wonders and D1 refugees.

Not to downplay his sucess but the local players were givern 1/3 and 1/2 scholarships instead of full scholarships so he had a bigger team amd plenty of depth. But a lot of the good player in this area didn't get to play because the couldn't come up with their portion of the school fees.

Am I missing the rule where is says you have to use local players? The point of football is to win games and get the BEST available talent. Bowden has done that and is winning. I don't understand all the negativity about what players he is doing it with.

I wish Coach Wallace all the best with his West Alabama team, except this Saturday night.
