Awesome game tonight on ESPN2. Conference rivals MT vs Troy, "Battle for the Palladium."
http://ncaawiki.com/index.php/...le_for_the_Palladium This is one of the NCAA's few trophy games, meaning a trophy is passed only between the two teams. The trophy is based on the Palladium from Greek Mythology. The story goes that as long as the "Trojans" held the Palladium within their city walls, the city wouldn't fall. One night a group of "Raiders" came and stole it. Should be an interesting game tonight. “Faith does not feed on thin air but on facts. Its instinct is to root itself in truth, to earth itself in reality, and this distinguishes faith from fantasy, the object of faith from the figment of the imagination.”—Os Guinness |

While I agree with you that this should be a good game, and I will probably watch some of it and pull for Troy, there's quite a bit more than "a few" trophy games. I would guess there are over 50. Maybe even quite a bit more than that.

You're right, I didn't realize there were so many trophy games. I learn something every day.
Last night was pretty much a blow out, unfortunately for me. That didn't look like the same team that beat Maryland and Memphis. I'm hoping they get their act together before Mississippi State. Troy has a very good football team and highly under rated. “Faith does not feed on thin air but on facts.
