UNA has only one loss when ranked #1.. and that was the first game of 1996

Lets keep it that way.

Something we were talking about at work today.

Has T. Bowden bought a house in the Shoals? Several at my office today said no. Makes me wonder if he is just passing thru on his way to bigger things?

This is just a stepping stone for him. I just hope the university doesnt have to pay a high price for it. All the D1 transfers will hurt the program in the long run and Bowden will be gone. I hope i am wrong. I really do. If they are seriously thinking about going to D1,..... they better think again.

I am all for UNA winning, etc. but not by sacrificing the program on the altar of the Bowden family. You are right about all the transfers...good now but could be bad later.

You guys need to study up about ALL the things that Bowden did. Yes he brought in transfers. Did it help us? You dadgum right it did and in more ways than the obvious. For the first time in UNA history, we were able to redshirt an entire recruiting class. And if you think going up against the likes of Parker, McSwain, Andrews, etc everyday in practice isn't making our younger players better, you are wrong. I see nothing but a win-win in what he's done this year.

You don't think redshirting an entire class is a great way to restock the cupboard? I also think that the few returnees we have from last year are playing at a higher level BECAUSE of the transfers. It was either get better or get out of the way. Thankfully they chose to get better. Tim Hicks is an even better back now than he was before he got hurt! Coincidence?

Bowden is the traveling salesman and Florence is the perverbial farmer who hands over his daughter to this smooth talker. he'll be gone after he gets what he wants.

how dare a football coach (or anyone for that fact) use a smaller job as a stepping stone to a bigger job. that has NEVER happened... Roll Eyes
