Is it perhaps big banks and megacorporations that are pulling the levers? I have read the book described below and endorse it to anyone who would like to read a seemingly plausible description of where the strings are really pulled. I am not fully convinced yet, but the author makes some interesting points:

Bomb in a tape recorder to kill Torrijos sounds like a KGB hit. CIA would have put a barometric bomb on his plane. Except, with the treaty ratified, there was no reason for the CIA to kill him. See the author's works on shapeshifting and shamanistic magic, as well.

Int, I'm fairly familiar with Perkins "economic hit man" works. I can say all that I've read and heard should be on everyone's must read list.
Not that you meant it that way, but I wouldn't want anyone reading this to think that he literally believes in shapeshifting and shamanistic magic. Using metaphors to describe his interactions and study of Amazonian cultures is what this in reference to. I've only perused his works on that subject, so if anyone has read those books or has any evidence to the contrary please share it with me/us. Regards p.s. Here's a pretty good interview with him on COAEHM. "All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident." bet, you need to be very careful with that Libertarian material. It'll turn your blinders into x-ray vision glasses allowing you to see right through political BS.
