Mr. Hudson did not win because he was the Democratic nominee. He won because the people in Colbert County wanted what was best for the children.
Education is not about primarily making the teachers happy. It is about doing what is best for kids, and that is what Mr. Hudson does. He has had to make tough decisions on personnel, but he did it with the best interest of the KIDS!!!! Those teachers who have been "SCARED" need to reexamine their methodologies.
Mr. Hudson has made sure that the students no longer run the schools by addressing some of the tough issues! Thank goodness because test scores are up and Colbert County will continue to head in the right direction!
And for those that had to resort to attacking his family to try to win. that is ridiculous. The Hudsons have dedicated their lives to the children of Colbert County over the past years. You should be ashamed, but I am not sure by how you ran your campaign you know what that is!
Congratulations Mr. Hudson! You are a hard worker, and you deserve the re-election.

I haven't heard anyone attack Mr. Hudson's family, only Mr. Hudson's parenting.

I sincerely hope that the closeness of these results and the fact that almost HALF his votes were "gifts" of the straight-ticket ballot have sent a clear message to Mr. Hudson that the children of Colbert County are not his to do with as he pleases.

Congratulations to Mr. Goode on a well fought campaign that brought much needed attention to the issues in the Colbert County system.

I would like to commend Mr. Hudson on winning the superintendent's race. I would also like to commend him on running such a clean, positive race. Not once did I read or hear a negative comment from his campaign party or himself. In response to beeb, personal attacks were made on Mr. Hudson's family refer to the Courier Journal, Colbert County Reporter, and the Times Daily. Mr. Goode's campaign was run by vengeful people, other than himself. Please take the time to investigate why particular people were relieved of their jobs. There was documentation and legimate reasons for termination. Congratulations Mr. Hudson! The Colbert County School System looks forward to your leadership for the next four years.

Well, well, Hilter Hudson's campaign slogan was Educational not political. That's BS. One of the first things he did today was to take Betty Jeffreys, a retired certified teacher, off the sub list because she supported Goode. Was that Educational, a certified teacher, or political! This is the type of man, dictator we have in office now. I hope all of you that voted for him realize what you have done to some good christian people.

I am so thankful we have someone in charge that again is willing to stand up to people. Good christian people don't mudsling like some did who supported Goode. I agree with another eariler posting that Mr. Hudson's family did not air out Mr. Goode's dirty laundry (which there is plenty on him and many of his supporters). That is how to run a classy campaign on the facts and on what is educational.
And as for Hitler Hudson, anyone who has studied what it takes to be a good administrator in higher education knows that it is sometimes lonely at the top and that tough decisions have to be made sometimes.
So call him what you want, but it is evident he has been educated in how to appropriately deal with people instead of ignoring issues that hurt children. It has nothing to do with "Good" Christian people!
But I am not sure that many of the people that led this nasty campaign against Mr. Hudson even know how to run a classy campaign. That was evident.
Continue to call Mr. Hudson and his family names if you will - it simply shows that in fact the BS falls on the other side of the fence.

Beeb, tip of the hat to Mr. Hudson, the winner?? Beeb has not responded the topic, posted by Coach Creasy, The Right Choice, where she expressed a contrary attitude toward the winner.

Guess what? I will continue to drive my kids into another school district with Hudson still in office.

As quoted by The Times Daily on Wednesday - "Hudson Arrived at the Colbert County Court House shortly before 10 with DOZENS of his supporters." Again, The Goode Camp needs to get the REAL facts. My husban also was a student of Goodes. Many of his former students will tell you what an atrocious and indolent teacher and administrator he was. We could probably swap insults all night,but I will not go there. The election is over. Mr. Hudson won. The Colbert County System will again thrive. Students will learn, most employess will do their jobs. Those who do not will probably be gone, as well they should be.

Honey, if your daughter was sexually assaulted and it was swept under the rug, YOU let it happen. There are toooooo many lawyers in this county to let something like that be hidden. What were you doing by NOT notifying the news media, the sheriff's office, child abuse offices (all over the area!), television networks (we have about four around here), radio? If you haven't noticed, the TimesDaily dotes on stuff like that and yours would not have been the exception. So - what were you NOT doing all that time? Flip through the yellow pages and you'll have no problem finding a willing attorney to sue the entire system.
You must really be some kind of "mother" to sit back and blame others for "covering up."

This is pretty funny! The belly ache here is that Betty Jefferies put her money on the WRONG hoss! If your accusations are true, which they are not, why blame the WINNER for taking measures to protect the fortress? Would Goode have done any different to all those county employees (secretaries, teachers, principals and more) for standing up and speaking out for Hudson? Talk with some of the former teachers of Hatton and they'll tell you how quickly Mr. Hudson "straightened that school out" when he became principal there.
Not only did he tackle the problem with the system, the employess and teachers, he took care of the parents and kids as well. In the right way. It's a totally different school -- for the better --- now, than before he took the bull by the horns.
Let's review Mr. Hudson's assailants and their platforms:
1. Noble Holland ---- Hudson got rid of his daughter because she didn't get tenure due to failing to make the grade as a GOOD teacher.
2. Linda Craft --- Her son didn't get the coaching position she was pushing him for because he was not the best qualified for the slot
3. Don Creasy --- His coaching buddy didn't get special treatment and Don found out that he's no longer the "big man on campus" at CCHS, telling others what to do and how to do it. Only L.C. Jeffreys got by with that and it was a long time ago -- Don is not a clone of L.C.
4. Some retired teachers are retired because Hudson made it clear that they'd get off their rear ends and TEACH instead of talk about themselves in the classroom.
Hudson was there -- he observed and made decisons on facts! He took away some "pacifiers" and turned our system into a good, stable, educational program.
