The election was already decided, as far as those who choose to shape public opinion goes, when Obama was nominated.

This is typical of socialist countries...the media is in fact controlled by the government. It may be at least controlled de facto by the government now, as the recent totally slanted coverage on national health care shows. Perhaps the media should consolidate and change their name to TRUTH (English for "Pravda").

Is this not the same media that George Bush's government "controlled" and threatened? Is it any wonder they would be on board with Obama?

If Bush controlled and threatened any media, why was he vilified?
Please show me an example of his 'control'.

zippadeedoodah said that the media was government controlled. Bush was vilified because he was a villain!

I'm curious. At what point do you guys cry "uncle"?

I guess I just don't understand. I've been lurking on this forum for the past few years and from what I recall, guys like w_z, and etc were dead on right about pretty much everything and they're no longer here. Guys like you, LMM and the old man have been proven dead wrong every freaking time. Yet you guys are still here blabbering.

What gives?

quotediddly - "I guess I just don't understand..."

That is the most accurate statement you've made since your post #1 of 28. Keep lurkin'.

Please do tell how we've been wrong and by contrast you think somehow MarianLibrarian was correct in her assessment that Palin has done something wrong when she stated:

"She must have done something really terrible. Was she Sanford's "Argentine" girlfriend? Did she kill Michael Jackson? Maybe one of her kids really is pregnant by Alex Rodriguez?!"

If your thinking aligns with hers, nothing else needs to be said. Again, keep lurkin'.

Clearly I was joking when I suggested that Sarah Palin killed Michael Jackson. If you can't see that, I can't help you.

Where did I single out that particular part?
I was speaking of your post in it's entirety. Even if you'd never mentioned MJ, you're post is ridiculous.

There's no getting past Obama, but what else do you want? I gave you an honest answer and I guess that wasn't good enough for you.

It’s not that your answer “wasn’t good enough.” It just didn’t really tell me anything in terms of why she is was/is near the top of anyone’s list of Republicans. To summarize your original answer as best as I can:

1)She is conservative – so are many, many other Republicans.
2)Her speech doesn’t bother you – I would think there are other Republicans whose speech doesn’t bother you, but I can’t say for sure.
3)She has more executive experience than Obama – so do many, many other Republicans
4)You don’t think Obama is capable of running the country – I don’t either, but that doesn’t guarantee that Palin would do a good job

The search function for the great w_z, who cut and ran when he could not defend the great "O".
He constantly spewed the vileness I talked about. So diddle, where was he right?

zip,

There's really nothing I can say. I don't agree with you at all, but you seem to have your mind made up.
