I found the perfect place for your brand of banter:

Thanks for the link LMM. I think she is exactly what this country needs. Unfortunately, there are lots of people out there who have been so brainwashed by the left they don't know right from wrong anymore.

Zip,

When you say, “their [the media] role in our society has shifted from simple reporting to molding public opinion,” I completely agree. The line between actual reporting and editorializing is now blurred beyond recognition. I believe one of the biggest reasons for this is that it is now acceptable to say, “I’m not a journalist, I’m a commentator” or, “I’m not a journalist, I’m an entertainer.” If anyone is in the business of covering politics and national issues, they are shaping public opinions regardless of what title they bestow upon themselves. I do not see an inadequacy of opinion-shapers from either party in the media. I also do not see a lack of anti-Obama voices.

If you quit for the right reasons at the right time, then yes. Apparently Obama doesn't know when to quit.

Did you even read her speech? I doubt it. If you believe what she said, then it makes perfect sense. Maybe she is not telling the truth. We don't know. But we DO know Obama lies.

I guess Nixon is exactly what this country needs right now then. Wink

There may be many good reasons to quit. But they are all due to FAILURE.

Dolemite...the preponderance of the anti-Obomination voices are in the so-called "new media". If this country is to survive as a republic the new media (internet, particularly) will need to be protected against governmental interference. Of course, the "Fairness Doctrine" will tend to stifle the new media.

Read her comments. She achieved everything she wanted to do in two years. The state is now on auto pilot. The LG can handle the ride. Call her a quitter if it makes you feel good, I see her as someone who finished the tough surgery and left the nurse to stitch up.

WZ left because he can't defend the socialist Obama has become. He was wrong about all of it.
Some people are always fair weather friends.

I think he spelled it out and made his case. So what reason would he have to still be here?

Your side got their butts handed to them.

I think I will go back to lurking. One thing I've learned is that there is no reasoning with the unreasonable.

The press of the day excoriated Douglas MacArthur as a quitter -- "Dugout Doug." Nevermind, that he followed the war plans given by the War Department and obeyed, reluctantly, FDR's order to leave Bataan.

Nevertheless, he returned, with a record for goals achieved for a relatively low casualty rate. Another quitter!

We don't know why she quit. We may never.

We know what people speculate about. We know other people's opinions. If I were in her place, I'd be pretty sick of the attention.
