There may be no debate about smoking. But there sure is a debate about bans. Perhaps they should have smoking and non smoking establishments. So people have a choice. You remember choice don't you? If you didn't like the places policy. You could have left. Your choice. When bans are placed, no more choice. You don't know how many businesses might have closed because of the ban? I guess to you it doesn't matter as long as your not coughing. Indoor smoking bans have been used as a 1st step. Then it goes to outdoors with NO PROOF of harm. Ban it in front of doorways, cars, homes. And my all time favorite. Parking Lots. I ndon't know what people think comes out of a cars exhaust. But it isn't fresh air. Use some common sense here. Raise your children not to smoke. If a child starts to smoke. Is it because Tobacco Companies made it look cool? Or because of a failure that a parent didn't educate their child not to smoke?
Posted 10 August 2009 07:29 AM Hide Post i hate cigarette smoke.tobacco in general disgust me. but i dont think a ban is the way. i frequent bars and people smoke in them. if i dont want to deal with the smoke i dont go.....its really simple. i dont need the government to do it for me.i sure dont think banning people from smoking outside a business is right ....where do you go for a smoke without offending somebody if not outside??/ i'm for a business banning smoking in their establishment and for others allowing it if they desire.it should be one or the other. i dont like being around smoke when i eat period. a no smoking section in a restaurant is like the no peeing section in a swimming pool.
ban alcohol....thats just crazy...if that happened most of the places in the area would have to shut down. its part of the culture and it dosent make me sneeze when somebody next to me pops a top.
