Anybody know how to make tartar sauce like Swamp John's tartar? I have tried several combinations but cannot seem to get it right.

tartar sauce is basically just mayo and relish (sweet or dill, according to your taste).

rlm89---try going to www.allrecipes.com or www.recipezaar.com and search for tartar sauce and try the highest rated recipes.

Here's Paula Deen's recipe:

I make tartar sauce by combinding mayo, sweet dill, a little lemon juice, and salt and pepper. It is yummy Wink. If you like onion, you can finely chop some and add it too, purple for sweeter, white for spicier.
