The picture of the biggest cruise ship ever is faintly reminescent of the historical landlocked ghetto buildings in Europe and the housing in the slums of Paris. I have always wanted to go on a long cruise. My choice would be a slow freighter. I am sure there is a lot of entertainment and luxury but the ship's appearance is depressing to me. Rich sardines in a can? (BTW, I could be enticed aboard the QE2 or even a Carnival Cruise!).

Where is this "Biggest Cruise Ship Ever".. I wanted to see it but cannot find it anywhere on the paper this morning? I'm sure I overlooked it somewhere.

That is also how I feel about most of them i've seen. Also think about it like a very germy sardine can with lots of people stuffed into it. LOL

Most of the French slums are in the suburbs in purpose build communities for housing north African emigres. St Denis is a good (bad?) example. The QE2 is retired. I suggest the Queen Mary 2 for true luxury.

I debated Elizabeth and Mary - made the wrong judgement call! LOL When I travel, I get on public trnsportation and go to the end of the line! I stay on the bus, pay again ,and go back! I do get off the beaten track! Actually, since you responded, I visualized the old Jewish Ghetto in Venice as I posted. Thanks for the queen correction. Didn't they make the QE2 into a restaurant?
As the little boy said in Sunday School when, after he told the teacher that the first man was Hoss, and she corrected him by saying it was Adam. "I knew it was one of them Cartwright boys." I am now hoping for some good cruise ship whereabouts questions on OB's trivia game! I am sure Dubai can afford whatever they decide to do with their Queen! This has been an informative and fun exchange! BTW, If you see a pic of the biggest cruise ship ever, let me know your opinion!
