For soap opera fans, today was a milestone of sorts. After 72 years of radio and television, The Guiding Light went out...poor ratings killed this entertainment staple.

Can you believe my kid expected me to pick him up at school during the show. Now I will never know of Josh and Reva were reunited. How about Frank and Blake? Those two have been dancing around each other for a long time. Did Jeffery die? I missed that...picking up the kid at school again that day.
Wonder what will be in that time slot? I hope it's not another talk show or game show. The real life drama is just not there.

OMG, I had no idea it was going off. I have watched that since I was a kid. My grandmother and I always watched while we were stringing beans or shelling peas. I would even now catch up watching online. Breaks my heart.

Reva and Josh got together, Frank and Blake got together and Rick and Mindy. As for Jeffrey, who knows, he wasn't even mentioned on the last show. I think Lets make a Deal is going in that time slot in October.

Makes me think about my grandma. She was confined to her house pretty much the last few years of her life and this was her favorite soap. I miss her.

Wow, 72 years is a long time for any type of show.
