Black Sheep,
I agree completely with PS9K's opinion (in case you missed it, see below) about the posters on the forums these days except I kind of like the name Black Sheep. The way the world is now, anybody who tries to do right is the odd man out so I think Black Sheep is a very appropriate name.

I have been reading this forum for a long time when I have time and lately have posted my opinion a few times. I very much enjoy the postings from everyone except the trolls. I don't have a lot of time and I get a lot of news and links from the postings of the intelligent people on these formus that I don't have time to search for myself.

Sometimes I come to the forum when I have had a bad day and need some amusement. It is hilarious sometimes to see the trolls make fools of themselves. Of course, sometimes they make me angry too but I just ignore them. I would hate to give them the attention that they are so obviously seeking.

I can say this much for the trolls. If they had my problems, they wouldn't have time to try to make somebody else miserable. They kind of remind me of my ex-in-laws. If they can't be happy, they try to make sure nobody else is either. LOL

At any rate, my hat is off to the Black Sheep of the forum. I think you are all terrific. Wish I had time to join in more, but alas, LIFE is happening to me and I am a "country girl trying to surive".

By the way trolls, you can tear me down all you want, I won't respond except maybe snicker to myself at how ignorant you are. And if you are really stupid I will put you on ignore.

PS. I miss LMM and Deep. And Geddon, where ever you are, I salute you. Come back safe.

Nice to see a positive post from someone who has been here for a bit. I am a black sheep.... have been for a while but before that I was selected to help admin another forum. Two of the same trolls got removed from the SF. Not for anything they had done at the SF but it was kind of like Barney saying, "Nip it in the bud" So that is why they were removed. It is called moderating. The TD might want to try that. The trolls are realtors, private investigators, writers, artists, housewives, mothers, cartoonists. I think i listed all three of them.

62-4 maybe 5 or 6.

Quite a difference. I would say one is a forum, the other is a chat room.

Thanks, MTnutter. I admit that I get caught up in the bickering sometimes, but I mainly just like to toy with the trolls when they come on here jonesing for ten rounds. Making them see how stupid they look either shuts them up or gets the thread closed.

I don't understand the fight that goes on here, I don't know any of the people in 'real life' and I am usually at a loss as to how a given topic stirs up such rancor.

Is there a forum somewhere that is moderated and that allows for discussion of local issues?

I agree with MNutter and PS9K -- the forums can be such a great place to hang out...AP and AM would have stopped it a long time ago...it wouldn't have gone on a month let alone almost a year...there are some very intelligent posters and some great people that post on here, but until you wade through the muck -- you can't get to them...hope ya'll stay around...
