Okay, ladies, I have a question for you. I'm thinking of walking on the wild side and going in for a Brazilian Bikini Wax. A girlfriend of mine has raved about it, but I'm skeptical and a big chicken. Anyone ever experienced this outrageous "beauty" treatment?
I'm not a female so I can't speak to the experience, but know that there are serious health risks if the procedure is not done properly and the risk of infection can be high. Just make sure you check up on aesthetician before you let them get into your business.

I don't think I'll be telling tales out of school to say that a forum contributor has. The lady who does the waxing also has electrolyzed some hair for another friend of mine. The former is attending a wedding at the moment, but will be back in town next week. I'll ask her to post any relevant info on the subject. FYI, I've heard there is some pain involved, but the results are long-lasting.
OMG. You'd have to chase me down, drug me, tie me down and whack me on the head. Once I tried to wax my legs myself. Could not make myself pull the cloth off. My mother-in-law was going to help me, when she pulled I jumped up from the sofa, and ran alongside her while she pulled. Had to end up just soaking the wax off.
My lord, girl, don't you know how much waxing your EYEBROWS hurts? Imagine lower.
Maybe you just need to "get active". My brother says (about his receding hairline) "it takes more of a man to wear it off than grow it". So just go wear it off.
Just think, I (and I imagine Vick also) have seen some piercings (down there). Did you know in a man it is called a King Louis? I've always wondered why.
Remember the next to last girlfriend my oldest son had that had her hoo hoo pierced and posted about it (not pictures, thank god, although it was only cause she couldn't get the camera down there) on the internet? Try looking at her across the Thanksgiving table without that picture in your head!
Piercing is one fad that I PRAY will be gone before my kids get old enough to want to try it. I would beat my child senseless if they came home with a nose, tongue, eyebrow, nipple, or hoo hoo pierced. That is so unsightly and unsanitary! YUCK!
A friend of mine has a Brazilian done. She swears by it. I'm not sure who does it for her, but I'll find out. She said that if I ever did it, I wouldn't have it any other way. I have waxed my eyebrows, legs, underarm & bikini line before, but not the whole thing. The worst of them all for me was the underarm - OUCH! The rest was not bad at all. She had a hard time finding a place to do it around here.

Out of curiosity, how is an eyebrow piercing any more "unsanitary" than a pierced ear? As far as being "unsightly" goes, that's just a reference to cultural norms. They are what they are, but not everyone shares the same culture.
I notice you didn't mention belly-button piercings, which makes me wonder whether you see those as being different in some way from the others you mentioned, or whether you were just listing a few examples and would consider those in the same "Yuck" category.
However, I'm curious to hear the medical perspective on nose and tongue piercings. Vick? FV?
Should have been more specific I guess. Was basically referring to nose, tongue, hoo hoo as being the unsanitary ones and the other more along the unsightly lines. And yes, I lump belly button rings in with the rest of them.
It may be a sign of the younger generation but what happens when those kids grow up? I for one would have a hard time hiring an employee who is going to represent my company with visable piercings. In my opinion, it shows a lack of respect for your body and long standing social norms. This will probably all come back to haunt me! I was a very rebellious teen and gave my parents fits. I have tats but they are not clearly visable to the general public (only my husband has access and then only if he asks nice enough!!). From my experience the things that kids do to their bodies now days have more lasting and visable repercussions down the road. I (Thank God) had enough sense to put my rebellion where it could later be covered.
Just my two cents. You are welcome to disagree. Sorry for the rambling too. Trying to do tooo many things at once.
