I’m now 19 and have been getting bad migraine attacks since I was 17. I get them at least twice a month. Still can’t find my trigger. Just recently, I got two attacks in a day. Regular ibuprofen usually helps but it takes some time for it to take effect. Any help?

Artificial colors (in food and drink) and scents (like fabric softener and perfume on other people), plug-ins, febreze, etc do it to me.

My younger son gets migraines from the scents, too.

Also, hormonal shifts can play a role in them.

Have you asked your doctor for a stronger pain medication in case you get a heavy migraine headache attack? This is necessary if you get a very intense headache that ibuprofen cannot control. In my case, I take fioricet. My doctor prescribed it to me like a couple of years ago and it’s helped me a lot. Try asking your doctor about it too.
