I've been trying to tone my muscles up, but I have a belly ring. What I'm wondering is, is it ok to leave it in? When my muscles tighten and I lose a little weight in my stomach, won't it get uncomfortable? I don't want to leave it in, and it start hurting because it becomes too tight. Supermodels don't have 'em because there's no fat in their stomach, so I probably need to take it out..... I dunno. Any thoughts?

I have had mine pierced 3 times total. The first time was in High School, I was thin back then, and had little fat on my stomach. Then I had to remove it after I got pregnant. After that, my sister in law wanted one, me trying to reclaim something (I had gained 40 lbs after my son) I got another one with her. After I lost my weight I went in and got it re-pierced, it wasn't because of the weight loss, my body started to reject it. They had to go so deep (because of the scar tissue) it wasn't comfortable at that point. So I took it out.

So I guess, as long as it doesn't bother you it should be fine. By the way, my sister in law kept hers in throughout her pregnancy and weight loss and still has hers (she got different size rings). So I think that it all depends on your body.
